Unchained (feat. Paci Ciotola)

There are paths we walk convinced we are moving toward someone, only to discover we were just running toward ourselves. Unchained was born right there: at the breaking point between who I was and who I chose to become.

This song was born out of pure impulse and intention, but was brought to completion by precise choices. I remember the days spent locked in my room, in a tight confrontation with myself, searching for the strength to overcome a critical moment. In that silence, I began to study the self and the energy we are made of. I discovered that within each of us lies a dormant strength; I chose to awaken mine, becoming a completely new person. I cried, wrote, and worked hard on myself, processing the pain instead of avoiding it. By going through it, I found my creed and a personal faith (far from common beliefs, but deeply my own).

The universe, somehow, wanted me to meet artists like Guido Polese and Paci Ciotola along this path artists who literally embraced my evolution and helped me write this piece. An unexpected magic was born in the studio: initially, Unchained was not supposed to be sung by Paci, but something happened. I strongly wanted him, even though he was initially reluctant, because things always happen for a reason. Paci had to sing this song because of how he felt it and the emotions we shared talking about it. We connected, entering into a deep empathy with one another.

There is a total energetic closure around this work. Everything was chosen by the soul: from the lyrics to the release date, all the way to the cover art, which is not a constructed image, but a real, unedited photo featuring two specific constellations. The name Unchained, rising from the dark peaks of the earth and beginning to unravel, represents the exact moment when the chains stop binding you. They don’t break with a sudden snap, but slowly crumble, turning to dust. I learned that pain, if walked through with dignity, changes its physical state: it becomes light matter, stardust that allows us to look up and recognize ourselves in the constellations above.

In this piece, I put a whole year of steps, of swallowed silences, and of solitary evolution. It took time to understand that freedom is not the absence of bonds, but the realization of no longer needing answers that do not come. I am releasing this song today because the energetic circle is finally complete. Exactly one year ago, I was acting for myself, taking a fundamental step for my life; today, that vibration transforms into the frequency of someone who has stopped waiting for a sign from the horizon and has started to shine with their own light.

Unchained is for anyone who has felt imprisoned by a memory, by an unspoken word, or by a journey to nowhere. It is for those who had the courage to look at their own shadows, discovering that in the deepest darkness, the stars are seen best. Whatever you are going through (and I repeat, WHATEVER) can be overcome.
