There are feelings so deep that silence becomes the only possible form of respect. I spent too much time believing I was strong, without realizing that this strength was not mine, but was placed entirely in another direction. Now that everything has changed, every step feels heavier; I search for a meaning or a familiar reflection in the eyes of everyone, without ever finding it.
It is hard to accept that other people’s lives flow better without us, while we remain holding everything back behind a mask of fake stability. There was a time when I would have shattered every certainty and started from scratch just to defend a shared project, just to live again that daily life made of chaos and peace. I only wanted the opportunity to give everything that was within my power.
But reality does not allow for returns. And so, I am left with those seven minutes. Seven minutes every night, in that suspended time before sleep takes over. Only there can I finally say everything that, in the light of day, I must keep inside. It is in those seven minutes that the dialogues that never happened take place, and it is from that silence that I had to learn to release the energy needed to free myself.
